The Air Type:
The energy of Air is ephemeral. Your energy is
constantly shifting, and you are mental, abstract,
detached, fair-minded, talkative diplomatic, and
multifaceted. Detaching from the "messy" human
emotions and emphasizing theory and concepts
are your dominate characteristics. Prolonged
contact with wet air depletes you, and in a humid
climate, you should have a dehumidifier in your
room. You find emotional display upsetting; an
atmosphere heavy with emotion can make you ill.
Witnessing or coping with outbursts of weeping or
temperament can bring on exhaustion. You prefer
to talk about emotions rationally rather than
actually dealing with them, but repressing your
own emotions can cause illness. You have nervous
energy and need to dissipate it with mental
activity in order to get a good night's sleep, but
allow sufficient time to wind down before bed,
which is a good time to spend a quiet half hour in
meditation. It is important for you to maintain a
calm restful environment to counteract your
inclination to live
in your busy head. When ill, you want to know everything about what ails you. You research your
diagnosis extensively, talking to everyone involved in health care. Though you hate being confined
to bed, you can deal with it if you have plenty of mental stimulation in a calm, unemotional
atmosphere. Restore balance by frequent breathing exercises.

You are susceptible to respiratory ailments, especially those affecting the lungs, such as
pneumonia. You are likely to dislocate a shoulder, injure your arms and hands (carpal tunnel
syndrome is a risk), suffer a broken hip, or sprain an ankle. Kidney problems and circulation
difficulties can arise.

When you are ill or recovering, fellow Air Types provide the mental stimulation and empathy you
need; Fire Types are energizing. Avoid Earth Types, since you find their practicality depressing, and
Water Types, whose emotionality gets on your nerves.

Some flower remedies that will help to renew you are Agrimony, for worry underneath the
cheerfulness; Olive, for mental fatigue; White Chestnut, for persistent mental arguments and
conversations; and Wild Oat, for indecision and for endlessly reviewing options.
The Water Type:
The energy of Water is flowing. You are sensitive,
intuitive, emotional, psychic, imaginative, and
insecure. Various intangibles play a large part in
your life. Being exquisitely tuned in to feelings ..
your own and other people's .. and being very aware
of your unconscious processes, which you access
through dreams and intuition, are your dominant
characteristics.

Although your feeling responses can go from
extreme compassion to total self-pity, you trust your
inner promptings and act on them. When your
feelings are blocked or repressed, you can suffer
psychosomatic ailments. You need to express
feelings
freely, for if they stay inside, they solidify into resentment and a bad temper, which can bring on ill
health. When upset, you can restore balance by lying in a warm bath until feelings have settled.

Your inner landscape is forever in flux, like the ocean tides. Waves of feeling wash over you
constantly; if they are not expressed, trouble results. Do not accept criticism for being "irrational",
"emotional", or "overly sensitive". Insisting on the right to express feelings in a nonjudgmental
atmosphere will allow you to maintain your inner harmony and physical health. You need time and
space to yourself. Privacy and frequent isolation in which to sort out your complicated feelings can
help you deal with stress.

When ill, you need a quiet, calm atmosphere and plenty of sleep, to promote dreaming. You
respond to a spiritual environment. Meditation and prayer come easily and are of utmost
importance in your healing process, which can be accelerated by soft music, preferably strings, and
being near water .. an ocean of a lake. Hot springs are also good. Many of your complaints are
vague in nature and respond to a total-body immersion.

You can suffer immune system disorders, breast lumps, fluid retention, constipation,
reproductive-system complaints, foot problems, and glandular imbalance. When ill or recovering,
you benefit from the practical nature of Earth Types; other Water Types are sympathetic but feed
your self-pity. Avoid Fire Types, who boil the Water nature, and Air Types, who lack empathy.

Some flower remedies that will help to renew you are Clematis, for excessive dreaminess;
Honeysuckle, for over-coming nostalgic obsession; Mimulus, for fear and anxiety; and Walnut, for
oversensitivity to the influence of others.
